ALL Human Beings loves the familiar. We like to get comfortable with our job, shoes, relationships, and our way of thinking. We make sure everything in our life remains constant.
WE LOVE COMFORT ZONE!
As I witness behavior within my son, I totally understand why we, as humans, embrace comfort zone. Children do as well. They don’t like to share. They love things their way.
Everything is MINE.
By staying in this comfort zone, we feel safe and secure. And as long as we are safely held within the walls of what we know, we feel secure and confident.

I went to a wonderful seminar last year, Millionaire Mind Intensive with T. Harv Eker, the author of The Secrets of The Millionaire Mind. He has said that, “our comfort zone equals our money zone. In order to have more money in our lives, we must expand our comfort zone.” In a blog I read a few months ago, he states that, “I would add that our comfort zone equals our joy zone, our love zone, our fulfillment zone, our spiritual connection zone, you name it.”
So if you want more of anything in your life, the place to start is with your comfort zone.
By expanding your comfort zone you will get more of what you want.
It’s that simple. Now it sounds easy enough. RIGHT???
However, most of us have built up some pretty sturdy walls around our comfort zone. Pushing them out or breaking them down requires conscious, concerted effort.
And I have found that it’s easier to expand the comfort zone in small, steady, steps than in great big leaps. But in order to do that, you need to intentionally take expansive action on a daily basis.
For 2 years now I have been involved with a network marketing company. Being in this company encouraged me to GET OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE everyday. Before the business, I would not even consider talking to anyone. I have done incredible things to get out of my “little comfort zone” and I continually to do so as a goal. I have attended different networking groups. As well as attending different personal/spiritual/financial development seminars. I have also been able to speak in front of people. I am a proud of leader in my home; however, it is a different story when it involves a whole organization, whether you have a team of 1, 20, or 100. I have gotten out of my comfort zone and been able to help my team achieve success.
One big Goal of mine this year was to open this BLOG:
I had NO IDEA how to market it or manage the plug-ins and widgets that comes with it. It was on my GOAL list for 2009. The reason why I’m making a HUGE DEAL out of this is because my life is now transparent. It’s open. I am used to my little inner circle of family & friends. And not really expressing how I felt.
However, as I have expanded my mind and learn so many things there was nothing else I wanted to do than to share it. I felt that I wanted to take my gift to the next level.
I guess my biggest fear was being judged in any way.
There are still so many things I do as an entrepreneur that seems scary. I think the difference now for me as opposed to before, is that I don’t want to miss out on any great opportunity that presents itself. I take forward leaps to see what possibility may be out there.

I heard that successful people are willing to do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do. I feel that if it’s makes me stronger, wiser, effective, sharp, confident, and innovative. I’ll try it!
Another feeling of “getting out of my comfort zone” was doing the series for my 7 day Journey of Wisdom, Creativity, & Inspiration. I knew what I was going to put together. I thought doing a video series would be GREAT. Oh my gosh, this was one of my biggest fear I swear. The thought of it today still makes me quiver.
“There is NO growth in Safe Harbors of The Known. ALL growth occurs when we venture out into Deep Blue Oceans”

At any moment in our lives we can get into a rut. To really counter this tendency we have to stretch beyond our level of comfort. Push ourselves to do things that might otherwise seem scary. Try new things. Go to different places.
Another example of expanding our comfort zone is circulating in new groups. Don’t just stay in your small circle of friends or family.
“Restricting your social environment to the same small group produces boredom, dullness, dissatisfaction, and, equally important, remember that your success-building program requires that you become an expert in understanding people.”
Here’s some good advice: Make New Friends, join networking groups or organizations, enlarge your social orbit. It is important to select friends who have different view points than you.
Associate with people who have different backgrounds and ethnic heritage but make sure as you expand your association make sure to associate on purpose.
Never allow yourself to become complacent or satisfied, doing same thing over and over.
There are so many ways that you too can expand your comfort zone. You don’t have to have a business to expand your comfort zone. Make sure you stretch yourself everyday.
Because when you do stretch yourself, YOU GROW. And when you grow it shows.
The More you GROW–the MORE YOU GIVE!!!!

Julia Cameron author of more than 25 books including best seller The Artists Way mentioned that a tool to kick start creativity is a philosophy she calls artist date. This is a one time a week, festive, solo expedition where you do something that is adventurous and pushes the envelope a little bit and makes you feel more alive.
It is vitally important that we embrace the inherent nature in us that’s creative, imaginative, and innovative. Please read my blogpost about the Power Of Your Imagination.
This kind of philosophy is what truly makes a difference in life’s journey.
I have come to understand that familiarity breeds contempt. So it is important for our growth as human beings here on Earth that we continually evolve to breakthrough certain barriers that produce routine.
The brain does not like routine.
Even though we all LOVE to live in our familiar comfort zone we should thrive to always keep learning, growing, and evolving in our personal journey.
Truly life was not meant to be dull, boring, and monotonous.
