Sometimes we try to fill in the moments of silence with unnecessary chatter that breaks down relationships and places more walls among us with our judgements based on our limited perceptions. We can never truly speak about someone else's life because as you so pleasantly wrote "we can never really know what goes on inside someone else's mind, heart or soul." Gossip has been the root of my need to detox my environment from toxic friendships. But the pain is not in vain, understanding through consciousness that what we say about another is merely a reflection of our perceptions and if we project our own insecurities and pains onto another no one heals. A true genuine and uplifting being will only look down upon another to life them up. There's no room for gossip when healing is to take place. I mean, essentially gossiping is not having the guts to tell someone how you feel to their face. It is created out of negativity and an attitude of scarcity....who wants to be there!?! Staying positive is the BEST way to go through life!
