10 Types of People you should watch out for when your networking

Do you want to know what character you need to be a well-rounded individual with outstanding great communications skills and self- confidence that exudes out of your presence?

Be Great at Networking.

Well your looking at me and thinking well “yeah I know that but how do I start?”

Believe it or not it’s not rocket Science.

Start with who you already know.

Get to know your family all over again. Get to know your friends.

How about that one relative your trying to avoid?

Yeah you know who I’m talking about

Get to know people’s passions, likes, dislikes, purpose, etc….

Write down or make a mental note (although i would not suggest trusting your memory) about his/her:

1.) Job

2.) Hobbies

3.) interests

4.) family

5.) education and so on……

Is this too simple for you….WELL OKAY THEN

Here’s the last NUGGET I will leave you with that will make an outstanding GREAT RESULT for YOU.

Next, HAVE THE GUTS TO BROADEN THAT CIRCLE!!!!

Attend any events you can get your presence in.

Don’t be shy. Step out of your comfort zone.

You must make an intentional decision to show up in events.

I had the utmost privilege to hang out with Empowered tribe & my blogging coach Katie Freiling last weekend.

I have been networking with the tribe for some time now via social networks. Nonetheless, it was a pretty BIG DEAL seeing everyone. They are definitely crushing it in social media and I encourage you, as a reader, to follow them if you haven’t already done so.

Showing UP may not seem like a big deal.

So first off a QUICK STORY!

I want to give you up to speed about the last 2 ½ years of my life when it comes to business. I have been great at one specific thing which is SHOWING UP. I have been attending networking event with business owners, seminars, luncheons, corporate and live event for our company, and networking with like-minded people. What gives me life meaning and deep satisfaction is learning from people.

So it is crucial to my personal growth to meet new people who are more successful than me in the areas of health, financial, business, relationships, and spirituality. I am very intentional on who I hang out with. I make sure the surrounding environment is conducive to my growth and enhances my mind in some way. I think the first step in changing your life is changing your mindset. And the best way to manage your mindset is surrounding yourself with people who are positive and uplifting.

This means taking charge of whom you spend the most time with.

REMEMBER THIS

When you eliminate excuses and make a firm decision to show up magic happens. Not just in business but also in life.For instances,

• Show up to family functions

• Show up to watch your kids ballgame

• Show up to your date with your spouse

• Show up to have coffee with a friend

• Show up to your family/friends birthday, wedding, baby shower, anniversary, etc.

• Show up to exercise

• Show up to meditate

On a closing note….. I heard an audio CD by a foremost leadership philosopher John C. Maxwell and I’d like to share them with you all today.

10 Types of people You Should Watch out for when your networking

Keep a look out for these types of people in your life and build deeper relationship as soon as you recognize them in your life.

1.) People who model success principles that you can you take in your own personal life

2.) People who are intentional in their assistance to help you grow and succeed.

3.) People who are Gift complementors—these people assists you in an area where you’re not good at.

4.) People who are team players

5.) People who are creative thinkers

6.) People developers- People who develop people.

7.) People who are mind stretchers

8.) People who are relational networkers—these people bring people to your life and add value to you.

9.) People who are spiritual and guide you in your faith

10.) People who are unconditional lovers-these people know your weakness and yet love you unconditionally. From John C Maxwell Success Audio CD September 2009 Track 4

As soon as you recognize these types of people in your own network. I advice you to treat them with love, deep appreciation, and respect. Just as you would cherish a blooming flower on springtime or a sleeping child in your arms. Treasure these people with all your heart. They are RARE!
